First Visit

We look forward to welcoming you to our home in Dexter, MI!

Prior to your first visit, you will receive electronic new patient forms to complete. Please fill these out at your earliest convenience so your provider can incorporate your health history into your assessment.

You should reserve an hour in your schedule for this appointment.

On the day of, you will be greeted by our patient coordinators with a smile!

To begin your assessment, you will meet your expert dental hygienist and get comfortable in their exam chair. You will then go over your in-depth health history together.

We provide the following diagnostics in each assessment to allow individualized dental care for each patient:

Vitals
X-rays
A Virtual Oral Wellness Scan
Gum health exams (Periodontal charting)
Oral cancer screenings
Function assessments for: teeth (and tooth decay), airway, TMJ, and other inflammatory diseases.

Lastly, your hygienist will be joined by your dentist! You’ll then have ample one on one time with your dentist to share your oral health concerns and ask any questions you may have.

Based on the findings in your assessment, your dentist and hygienist will go over any steps that need to be taken, ways you can reach your oral health goals, and possible risk factors.

To conclude your appointment, you’ll schedule a future appointment to keep your smile and airway healthy (such as dental cleanings, fillings, or a consultation with one of our in-house experts for a specific condition).

Welcome to the Dexter Dental Studios In-House Membership Plan!

At Dexter Dental Studios, we understand that many patients may not have access to traditional dental insurance. To help ensure that everyone can maintain excellent oral health, we proudly offer the Whole Dental Health Membership Plan. This plan is designed to provide patients with affordable and consistent dental care for one low fee, eliminating the complexities and limitations of traditional insurance.

Our membership plan focuses on preventive care, saving you money while providing access to the dental treatments you need. This plan operates as a medical retainer agreement under Michigan law and is not dental insurance.

Membership Plan Details

Key Features:

Preventive Care Coverage: Includes routine cleanings, exams, and X-rays.
Discounted Services: Members receive discounts on select treatments, helping you save on essential dental care.
No Deductibles or Claim Forms: Simplified care without the red tape of traditional insurance.

Important Terms and Conditions:

This plan is NOT dental insurance and cannot be combined with any dental insurance benefits or other promotional offers.
Any necessary referrals to dental specialists are excluded from membership discounts, as they operate outside of this plan.
Payments for discounted services must be made in full at the time of service.
No refunds will be provided for unused portions of the membership if the patient chooses not to utilize the plan benefits.
The membership plan is subject to annual review and changes.

Membership Activation:

Coverage begins on the effective date, which is the date of the initial payment.
For monthly plans, an initial payment is required, followed by automatic charges to the card on file for all members (monthly or annually, based on the chosen plan).
Members must provide 30 days’ notice to cancel the plan. The annual plan is non-refundable if the member has utilized services equal to or exceeding 100% of Dexter Dental Studios’ standard office fees for rendered services. For unused portions of the plan, a prorated refund for the remainder of the medical retainer will apply.
Coverage remains in effect for one calendar year from the effective date.

Service and Appointment Policies:

It is the responsibility of the member to schedule appropriate visits within the plan’s timeframe. Appointment times are subject to availability.
Discounts are not applicable to services related to injuries involving litigation, disability, or workers’ compensation claims.

Excluded Services:

The following services are not eligible for the 20% discount:

Orthodontic treatments (e.g., Invisalign)
Teeth whitening
Product purchases
Nitrous oxide (laughing gas)
Botox and dermal fillers
Sleep medicine services

Financial Options

We appreciate that an investment in your oral health is an investment in your overall health and well-being. We provide a variety of individualized health packages to meet your budget and needs.

WE PROVIDE AN ESTIMATE OF YOUR PROPOSED TREATMENT

Upon request, we will print you a copy of the estimated cost of your proposed treatment.

Forms of Payments Accepted:

For your convenience, we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express. We also accept Flex Spending and Health Savings Account cards.

Payment Plans and Care Credit

A flexible payment plan may be arranged prior to your procedure. We have partnered with Care Credit to offer 0% interest on financing.

Insurance

We work with most dental insurance providers. Upon request, we will contact your insurance company and estimate your portion based on the information they provide. Please keep us informed of any changes to your insurance plan.
