First Visit

We look forward to welcoming you to our home in Dexter, MI!

Prior to your first visit, you will receive electronic new patient forms to complete. Please fill these out at your earliest convenience so your provider can incorporate your health history into your assessment.

You should reserve an hour in your schedule for this appointment.

On the day of, you will be greeted by our patient coordinators with a smile!

To begin your assessment, you will meet your expert dental hygienist and get comfortable in their exam chair. You will then go over your in-depth health history together.

We provide the following diagnostics in each assessment to allow individualized dental care for each patient:

• Vitals
• X-rays
• A Virtual Oral Wellness Scan
• Gum health exams (Periodontal charting)
• Oral cancer screenings
• Function assessments for: teeth (and tooth decay), airway, TMJ, and other inflammatory diseases.

Lastly, your hygienist will be joined by your dentist! You’ll then have ample one on one time with your dentist to share your oral health concerns and ask any questions you may have.

Based on the findings in your assessment, your dentist and hygienist will go over any steps that need to be taken, ways you can reach your oral health goals, and possible risk factors.

To conclude your appointment, you’ll schedule a future appointment to keep your smile and airway healthy (such as dental cleanings, fillings, or a consultation with one of our in-house experts for a specific condition).
